About Us
The Alameda Shade Shop is a family business and has been in the Hayes family for the last 37 years. Located in the heart of Alameda, this shop has been supplying the local Victorian homes with custom roller shades since 1948. From those beginnings our product line has expanded. We carry the full line of Hunter Douglas Window Fashions as well as woven woods, vertical & horizontal blinds, Roman shades, Custom drapery, sheers (even stage drapery!), Cornices, valances, and Shutters.
Procedures/Policies
We strongly urge our customers to come into the store to view our showroom. We try to have an example of every product so our customer can physically see and feel the product. This way they know what they are getting. Once you’ve decided what you like, make an appointment for us to come and measure. If your home or office is local, we measure for free! Call or come in for details and availability.
